If
you’ve had severe side effects from taking Vioxx, the
prescription drug issued to patients with arthritis and
other muscular and/or skeletal diseases, contacting a
lawyer might be in your best interest. However, not just
any lawyer will do. When you contact our specialists,
they can make sure you know the Law Firm's policies on
handling Vioxx cases.
Vioxx was withdrawn by its manufacturer in Sept. 2004
after only four years on the market. An estimated
$18,000,000,000 in lawsuit claims are expected from this
action. A competent lawyer will know which cases are
real and which are imagined and won’t take just any
claim. These lawyers will take pains to verify their
client’s needs as well as protect the interests of Merck
and other drug manufacturers in settling lawsuits.

It seems that
every day a new drug is released upon society and every
other day another is recalled by the FDA or pulled from
the market! One of the latest is a market withdrawal on
Vioxx; a prescription drug used to help suffers of
inflammatory diseases such as osteo and rheumatoid
arthritis.
Introduced
to doctors and patients in 1999, Vioxx was one of many
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs touted to give
relief for the pain and discomfort of arthritis and
other muscle/joint disorders. In their 1999 annual
report, Merck described Vioxx as their biggest
and fastest
launch ever, with over 5 million prescriptions written
the first seven months on the US market. In Sept. 2004
Vioxx was voluntarily withdrawn by Merck, the
pharmaceutical company that manufactured it.
